Farmer's Market Donation Sort & Store - Sunday
The Farmer's Market Donation Sort & Store volunteer shift is responsible for accepting the donation of farm fresh produce delivered to the +BOX warehouse after the Leucadia Farmer's Market closes on Sunday afternoon, sorting through it, and putting it away in the cooler.

About the event
+BOX partners with a ProduceGood, a fellow food security nonprofit that rescues excess or unsold produce from local farmer's markets a delivers it to our warehouse. It provides +BOX with farm fresh produce that we can provide to the food insecure students and families that we support!
ProduceGood volunteers deliver the farmer's market produce on Sunday afternoons after the Leucadia Farmer's Market closes, between 2:30 and 3:30. +BOX volunteers are needed to staff our warehouse, accept the deliver, and ensure it gets stored away properly in our walk-in cooler.
As a volunteer member of the +BOX team, you will be granted access to the warehouse, often without +BOX team members present, to raise the rollup warehouse door, help the ProduceGood volunteers unload, and then store the bounty in the walk-in cooler or dry storage room. Once it's all put away, you'll lock up and enjoy the rest of your Sunday afternoon!
Plenty of free parking is available in front of our office/warehouse, which is located on the South end of the Carlsbad Gateway Center complex.
